How to Mint a Vault
Vaulting Fee
Before initiating the vault minting process within Emblem Vault, it is essential to understand the associated costs. Each vault minting incurs a vaulting fee, structured to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the platform:
Vaulting Fee: A dynamic fee of $20, payable in ETH.
This vaulting fee is settled at the point of checkout or upon signing the gas transaction. Notably, the $20 fee is integrated into the overall gas fee required for minting the vault. This transparent fee structure is designed to streamline the process, allowing users to account for the total cost of minting upfront, thereby facilitating a more efficient and predictable transaction experience.
Emblem Open
When initiating the creation of your Emblem Open vault, you will begin by entering a title, a description, and an image URL to represent your vault. Following this initial setup, Emblem Vault will provide you with a range of deposit addresses corresponding to the supported cryptocurrencies and NFTs within its ecosystem. This versatility ensures you can deposit any asset from the specified ecosystems that a native wallet on their respective blockchains can hold, broadening the scope of assets you can include in your vault:

To successfully mint a vault under the Emblem Open contract, a minimum deposit of one or more assets is required. This policy is implemented to discourage the creation and sale of empty vaults in the marketplace, ensuring that each vault holds value and significance. This step is crucial in maintaining the integrity and utility of the Emblem Vault ecosystem, offering participants a reliable and meaningful platform for the exchange and management of digital assets.
Project and Protocol Curated Collections
When you choose an asset for vaulting—applicable to both ERC-1155 and ERC-721A (Dynamic Vault) standards—you will be assigned a unique deposit address corresponding to the specific Curated Collection you're engaging with. This consistent approach applies across both protocol and project-specific curated collections, ensuring a streamlined asset submission process via a single deposit address.
Note: Dynamic vaults embody a core innovation of Emblem's proprietary technology, set to redefine asset management and representation within the ecosystem. These vaults are uniquely capable of auto-updating their metadata to reflect the assets they contain. Initially, upon minting, a dynamic vault is akin to a "blank canvas"—lacking a specific title, description, image, or traits.
This forward-thinking design facilitates a user-friendly experience, enabling the vault's attributes to naturally align with the asset post-minting. The automated update feature for metadata removes the manual task of inputting these details, ensuring the vault's representation is precisely matched with its content. Dynamic vaults epitomize Emblem's dedication to offering a flexible and efficient asset management tool, simplifying asset representation while boosting the discoverability and allure of assets within the Emblem ecosystem. Consequently, dynamic vaults illustrate Emblem's innovative leadership in blockchain technology, laying the groundwork for novel digital asset interactions and presentations.
The vaulting process necessitates the deposit of a singular item per vault. For example, vaulting a Rare Pepe into the Rare Pepe collection is designed to accept only one asset. For divisible assets, mint eligibility hinges on a minimum balance of one, and submitting more than one of the same asset will disqualify the vault. Conversely, for assets from a Dogeparty protocol curated collection, such as COUNTERDOGE, depositing multiple instances of the asset in a single Protocol-focused vault is permissible—enabling, for instance, the vaulting of 69 COUNTERDOGE in one go.
In the event an incorrect asset is mistakenly sent to a curated vault, correction is achievable through the Advanced Operations tab within the vault's interface. This functionality provides the essential means for making adjustments and corrections, ensuring the vaulting process's accuracy and the curated collection's integrity.
