What are Ethscriptions?

Ethscriptions are a new way of creating and sharing digital artifacts on Ethereum using transaction calldata. On Friday June 16th, Middlemarch announced Ethscriptions to the public and within just a few days over 50,000 esthscriptions were created. On that same day Emblem Vault deployed a Curated Collection allow for the storage of Ethscriptions inside of an ERC-721 that could be exchanged on any NFT Marketplace. Additional information here.
